To help adjust the height difference of your Arctic Fox 271RK you have a couple of options. If you aren't level to start with raising/lowering the hitch or the pin box will cause the nose of your fifth wheel to raise or lower. So you can use these to adjust the front of the camper and get your camper to a more level height with your truck. Raising the truck would also affect this.

What you are experiencing is called Hot-Skin and it is extremely dangerous. Hot-Skin occurs when the ground wire on a Camper's shore power feed is interrupted somehow. Since there is voltage on all of the pins of the 7-way and the 4-way when the adapter is used and the trailer seems to work fine with your vehicle the problem has to be the ground circuit of your friend's 4-way on his vehicle. The temperature sensor for the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner System # ADV64FR is located in the digital wall thermostat so if you have it in a placed where there's a vent blowing on it the sensor could think that the RV is cooler than it really is. Most other systems have the sensor located up in the air distribution box and since heat rises it typically gets hot enough to kick on faster.
